Cleaner

Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi is a vibrant and exciting tertiary education institution which offers a range of programmes from certificates to doctorates across a range of disciplines. 
We are seeking a part time Cleaner to join our Operations Department.   
In this role you will join a team of cleaners based at our Whakatane campus site.  The hours of work are 4 hours per day (negotiable start and finish times between 4am and 12pm), 20 hours per week, Friday to Tuesday.  Additional rostered hours to cover other team members on approved leave are also available from Monday – Friday.   
In this role the Cleaner will maintain facilities in a clean and hygienic state by completing routine daily and weekly cleaning tasks. 
Ideally applicants will:   Have at least two years previous commercial cleaning experience. Have specific knowledge of, and experience using cleaning chemicals, their identification, use, and safe storage. Be able to work unsupervised. Have effective time management skills. Have a good general level of physical fitness to use heavy cleaning equipment. We offer a supportive working environment and welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
