We are seeking a Scale A classroom teacher to join our team at ANI beginning term 1, 2025.
Teachers at ANI are passionate, motivated leaders of learning who cater exceptionally well to the needs of the emerging adolescent (Y7 & 8). We have state of the art modern learning spaces which consist of 2 teacher ILEs or 3 teacher hubs.
ANI has a number of specialist teachers including science, the arts, physical education, technology and languages who work alongside the classroom teachers. At ANI, the classroom teacher has this one full day of release each week for team meetings, planning, observations and opportunities to coordinate school initiatives.
As an intermediate school, we prioritise our extra curricular opportunities with the same value as our academic programmes. Sports, arts programmes, clubs, cultural groups, student leadership and many more opportunities abound for our eager students. Staff are encouraged to add their strengths and passions to supporting this holistic approach to our students' development. The successful applicant must be positive, enthusiastic and adaptable.
ANI also offers the highly sought after International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme (PYP) programme that is the framework sitting alongside and compliments the NZ Curriculum . If you are not familiar with this, full professional development will be provided.
We are seeking a permanent teacher however this will be dependent on suitable resident/visa status and the contract can be altered to be fixed term to support a suitable candidate.
