About the Role Chubb Life New Zealand is seeking a proactive and experienced Claims Manager to lead our dynamic Claims team in Wellington/Auckland. As a pivotal part of our Operations team, this role focuses on driving a high-performance culture, ensuring efficient workflow productivity, and enhancing our customer-centric practices across the board.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and develop the claims team through effective coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
- Collaborate closely with the operations teams to enhance service quality and operational processes.
- Authorizing claims and payments while managing costs and minimizing losses through improved processes and governance.
- Enhance customer experience by adhering to our Good Customer Outcome framework and managing complaints from initiation to resolution.
- Implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and manage risks more effectively.
Requirements - Substantial industry experience in insurance claims management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of effective team management and strategic operations planning.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
- Proficient in interpreting complex policy wordings and legal documents.
- Customer-centric approach with a strong focus on building relationships and problem-solving.
