Job Description Claims Co-ordinator role Waitangi Tribunal Unit12 Month Fixed Term The Waitangi Tribunal is a permanent commission of inquiry charged with making recommendations on claims brought by Maori relating to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
It holds a unique place in the New Zealand constitutional framework.We are looking for a talented and hard-working person to join the Waitangi Tribunal Unit as a Claims Coordinator.
Te Haeata/The OpportunityThe Claims Coordinator supports the Waitangi Tribunal by performing event management and document management services that are essential to the effective operation of the organisation.
These functions include:Facilitating claimant participation in Waitangi Tribunal inquiriesOrganising official eventsProviding administrative support to Waitangi Tribunal members and the judiciary O pukenga/Skills and ExperienceNo candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
If your experience looks a little different from what we have outlined and believe you can bring value to the role, we'd love to hear from you!To be successful in the role you will have:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalAttention to detail in managing large document banks and recordsExperience in planning large events in set timeframesFlexibility and ability to work in a dynamic environmentFull clean motor vehicle driver's license (essential)Experience working with judiciary and a commitment to developing your knowledge in Te Reo and Tikanga Maori will be an advantage.

Utu a-tau/SalaryThe appointing salary for this role will be between $65,066 and $90,008 based on skills and experience.
