Are you a skilled Civil Project Manager with a passion for delivering successful civil construction projects? This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to lead and manage a range of exciting civil infrastructure projects in the stunning Hawke's Bay region. Join a recently established branch of an established regional civil contractor with specialist expertise working on deep foundations, bridges, reservoirs, tanks and retaining walls. On offer is a competitive salary of $110 K - $130 K with a range of company benefits.
The Role:
As a Civil Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of civil construction projects, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other civil structures. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring safe delivery and maximising commercial returns.
Oversee larger, complex projects with a team of engineers and supervisors, while also being hands-on with smaller projects.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, using Project Management software (MS Project, P6, or similar).
Ensure compliance with NZS3910 and the Construction Contracts Act.
Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to enhance the company's brand and reputation.
Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
5+ years of civil contracting experience in New Zealand, specifically with civil/structures related projects.
In-depth understanding and experience of NZS3910 and its application in civil projects.
Proficient in Project Management Software (MS Project, P6 or similar).
Experience with CCS Candy or similar project control tools.
Knowledge of the Construction Contracts Act, including obligations of Principals, Contractors, and Advisors.
Strong leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills.
Current unrestricted work rights for New Zealand.
