The Company:
Join an international and industry-leading consultancy specialising in land development and infrastructure projects. With a commitment to innovation and sustainable design, they are expanding their regional offices with a new office in Rotorua, providing local expertise to deliver high-impact projects across the region. The Role:
you will take the role of a Civil Design Engineer in our new Rotorua office, supported by the wider Bay of Plenty team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design & delivery of land development projects, from public & private residential subdivisions to larger scale regional infrastructure. You will work closely with our senior engineers and project managers to ensure high-quality project outcomes that align with local needs and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead and contribute to the civil design of land development projects, including urban subdivisions, roads, stormwater systems, and wastewater infrastructure.
Liaise with clients, contractors, local councils, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
Assist with project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Mentor and support junior team members and engineers.
Requirements: Bachelor Degree or suitable Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Moderate experience in civil design in land development and within New Zealand.
Strong proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
Good understanding of New Zealand building codes and practices (NZS3910).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
