The more practical stuff: Responsible for: Managing location shifts and staff to ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved with consistency, whilst driving sales to help meet and exceed set KPIs.Undertaking all aspects of cash and stock management as required.Both full and part-time positions available.
Key Responsibilities Shift Management Undertake all duties of a cinema worker as and when required.Be responsible for opening and closing the cinema, complying with all company lock up and security protocols.Manage the cinema's daily cash up process, along with any petty cash, and weekly banking as and when required.
Provide nightly and weekly reporting to Head Office and relevant Distributors as per the cinemas reporting schedule.Ensure budgets and KPIs are being adhered to.Manage and undertake stocktake in line with the cinemas stock processes, ensuring this is completed with accuracy and within the defined timelines.Assist with site stock management, ensuring wastage is being recorded accurately, and orders are being placed according to pre-determined levels and frequency.Staff Management Ensure all staff are provided with the relevant training and development.Ensure site staff are completing all duties and maintenance as and when required to keep the site in the best possible state.
Monitor and respond to staffing levels and positioning based on the volume of trade.Maintain a high standard of personal and staff presentation, being mindful and responding to issues regarding any staff presentation.Ensure that all staff adhere to Silky Otter's policies and procedures.General Foster a warm and friendly work atmosphere consistent with Silky Otter's code of conduct.Demonstrate a working knowledge of company policies and procedures.Ensure that Silky Otter - Orakei meets its obligations under relevant New Zealand Legislation Uphold a high level of Customer Service and ensure all staff are in line with our high level of customer service.Ensure all customer queries are being responded to and dealt with appropriately in a timely manner.Requirements: LCQ and General Manager's Certificate is required.
Ability to obtain a certificate is essential3+ years of experience working in hospitality.
Those with experience in a management role within hospitality will be favored; particularly if it is within the cinema space.Ideal candidates: The successful candidate will have management experience leading small teams and is an individual who constantly strives to be the best in the biz!
They will also have: Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries helpfully and professionally.
Great time management and the ability to cope under pressure.Understand and feel comfortable with budgets and KPI's.Food handling experience plus food prep experience is advantageous, but not required.
