It will be an integral part of a forward-looking Senior Leadership team responsible for achieving the FMT strategy, overall business performance and the provision of a high standard of service to key internal customers.The CRO is responsible for providing strategic direction and effective management of the Credit Risk portfolio and Compliance functions. The position is also instrumental in ensuring quality property lending credit decisions through comprehensive assessment of applications, deriving decisions that balance risk with organisational growth, ultimately ensuring FMT's long-term interests and assets are safeguarded.Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will demonstrate the following:Minimum of 10 years' experience in credit risk, compliance, and/or risk role within financial servicesMinimum of 5 years' experience specifically in credit decisioning for property lendingExceptional communication skills – presenting, influencing, negotiating and problem solvingDemonstrated ability and previous experience in leading, motivating, and coaching othersProven ability to understand complex information, use strong judgement and demonstrate sound decision makingStrength in the ability to build credibility and instill confidence internally and externallyYou will have proven experience advising a Chief Executive Officer and Board, and be strongly aligned to FMT's values, as these will be defining differentiators in our assessment of your fit and character:Teamwork - they care, connect and collaborateIntegrity - they do the right thingAchievement – they get it doneThis is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of the phenomenal growth in private credit with an organisation that truly cares for its people and everyday New Zealanders.To submit your application, please click on the 'apply' button below.
