Chief Financial Officer

Habitat for Humanity Nelson (HfHN) is entering an exciting phase as they expand their affordable and community housing offerings across the wider Nelson/Top of the South region.They seek a commercially focused CFO to sit on the leadership team to manage the finance, IT, and business planning and support functions as the organisation grows.
This includes:Providing strategic advice, business planning, analysis and forecasting.Deliver internal and external reporting, highlight opportunities and risk.Ensure all statutory and financial obligations are met.Develop IT capability.Oversee long term asset management and leases.Manage risk, insurance, support and HR functions.Coach the team, build effective relationships with the Board, government agencies, philanthropic investors and the National Support Office of Habitat for Humanity NZ.As a Chartered Accountant, you will demonstrate:Proven financial expertise, experienced in all aspects of financial planning, reporting, analysis and compliance.Knowledge of financial and information management systems.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence direction and gain trust.Commitment to Habitat's purpose.HFHN is an Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity NZ, part of the global Habitat for Humanity charity.
We are looking for a self-starter who can appreciate the nuances of working in a nationally affiliated not-for-profit organisation.
