As a Finance Officer you will hold an essential role in nurturing deep connections with our community by providing down to earth customer service to our finance customers.
You will provide accurate information to support their enquiries, contributing to the smooth operation of financial activities within the council.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Processing accounts receivable and banking transactions
Promptly responding to customer and solicitor enquiries using policy and the legislative framework.
Maintaining the integrity of financial data in our systems
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial information is conveyed accurately.

Experience in financial processing and working knowledge of the basic accounting principles

Strong numeric reasoning and written communication skills
A proactive approach to problem-solving
Strong personal prioritization and time management skills
Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting or transferable work experience
