Chief Advisor Officer

We are looking for a Chief Advisor to the CEO for a community-focused organisation. This position offers the chance to make a real impact in the local community through strategic guidance and leadership support.
Key highlights of the role include: Providing strategic advice directly to the CEO, including risk management and identifying key areas for focus.Working collaboratively across various business units and with key external stakeholders such as mana whenua and community groups.Managing one direct report (the Executive Assistant) and supporting the board and Senior Leadership Team.The potential to contribute to the community's regeneration through project business cases and ministerial briefings.Who you are: We're looking for someone with a background in Strategy or Policy, ideally within the public sector, and a deep understanding of New Zealand's government structures. Your strengths include political insight, exceptional communication skills, and an ability to draft high-quality reports. You'll be highly organised, adaptable, and excel at building relationships with key stakeholders.
This role is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity; however, for the right candidate, we are willing to consider permanent.
