Position Details:
Location: Whanganui
Job Type: Part-Time, Casual
Pay Rate: $30 per hour + 8% holiday pay
Days: 4 days per week, across the entire week including weekends
Role: Bulk cooking for over 300 people at a school
What We're Looking For:
As the sole charge Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a school setting. This role requires not only experience but also the ability to work independently and efficiently. Your expertise in managing large-scale cooking operations will ensure that every meal is of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals for over 300 people
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
Manage kitchen operations independently
Plan and execute meal production according to the school's schedule
Requirements:
Proven experience in bulk cooking, preferably in a similar setting
Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen on your own
Strong organizational and time management skills
Flexibility to work across the week, including weekends
