Chef - Mid Morning Shift

Lowie is on the hunt for a talented Chef to join our vibrant production team in Porirua.What we offer: Paid weekly Great pay rate Part-time hours, 11:30am start, ends at 7pm Work close to home if you live in Porirua, Tawa, Johnsonville or Lower Hutt Great working environments Immediate start for the right person Some duties you may be required to do: Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality Follow and maintain high food safety and hygiene standards Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way Solve any issues that arise and take control of any problematic situation Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance The ideal candidate will have the following skills: Previous experience as a Chef in a restaurant, café, or hotel Must be available during weekends Clean MOJ Must have own vehicle Culinary degree or equivalent professional training Passionate about food and presentation Excellent record of kitchen and staff management Strive to exceed customers satisfaction Ability to communicate, multi-task and cope under pressure No qualifications are required, however, a cookery qualification would be beneficial.
