Chef

We are seeking a Chef to join our busy café business in Hamilton. This is a full-time role (minimum of 30 hours a week).
The Role Day-to-day work may include, but not be limited to:  Prepare and cook food  Maintain and develop new menu choices  Maintain sufficient food and vegetable supplies and re-ordering food supplies as required  Estimate food and labour cost  Prepare and cook specialised dishes as required  Discuss good preparation issues with head chef  Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation  Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on cooking procedures  Ensure all health and safety standards have been met Our successful applicants will have:  Cookery Diploma or three years of relevant work experience  Works well under pressure   Likes a fast pace life   Ability to work independently as well as part of a professional team  Highly responsible and reliable  Accept flexible working hours – rostered shifts  Able to work at weekends and public holidays  Great people skills both with fellow workmates and customers  Honest, trustworthy & well presented  Comply with our health and safety policy  Be drug and alcohol-free Employer questions Please answer the following questions when submitting your application:
