Job Description About the Role: As the Chef you are accountable for the preparation, cooking and service of all cafe food (cabinet, baking, short order etc) to agreed standards to ensure a quality service is provided to the residents.
You will report to the Cafe Manager and work together to ensure a varied menu is offered each day.
This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday with a minimum of 76 hours and maximum of 85 hours per fortnight.
The cafe is open Monday to Friday 8am to 2:30pm.
Every second Friday we offer residents a meal night so those days you would work until approximately 6:30pm.
Your responsibilities will include: Ensuring there is full compliance to the approved Food Control Plan Complying with all food safety requirements and maintaining high level of hygiene at all times Preparing and cooking set meals to residents' satisfaction in a timely manner Building and managing rapport with direct reports with full accountability for all aspects of coaching and performance development Qualifications About You: You will be a highly motivated and skilled Chef with excellent time management skills.
To be successful you will bring: Proven experience in managing a successful team in a similar environment Financial acumen The ability to empower team by passing on culinary knowledge Sound understanding of Food Safety Plans A Chef Qualification is preferred Additional Information What's in it for you?
