Pay rate: $29.66 per hour.
Full-time minimum 30 hours per week.
We are a gastropub based in Marlborough with an eye for a different and delicious menu and an enticing array of drinks at the bar. We are looking for an energetic Chef to join our team.
Applicants for this role must have full-time availability, willing to work mid-mornings to late evenings and weekend shifts. You will be responsible for planning and organizing the preparation and cooking of food and ensuring the kitchen is running smoothly.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Manage food costs, labour, and the overall performance of the kitchen – perfect for someone who loves a challenge.
Ensure that all dishes meet The Good Home's high standards of taste and presentation.
Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies.
Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Discuss food preparation issues with managers.
Demonstrate techniques and advise on cooking procedures.
Explain and enforce hygiene regulations.
Select and train staff.
Prerequisites:
Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Exceptional communication skills.
One to two years relevant work experience as a Chef/Cook mandatory OR a relevant qualification mandatory.
Loves to contribute to a team environment.
Must have flexibility on working weekends, days/hours to cover leave and peak trade periods as per the roster as the outlet is open 11.30 am till late.
