Main duties:
Contribute to menu development and innovation by suggesting new dishes, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking methods, presentation, and food safety procedures.
Collaborate with the management team to oversee inventory, control costs, and maximize profitability.
Address customer inquiries, special requests, and dietary preferences to deliver exceptional service.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including stir-fries, barbecued items, fried foods, and Chinese cuisine.
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation to maintain our high standards.
Work with the management team to optimize workflow and enhance efficiency, especially during peak times.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations to uphold health standards.
Job pre-requisites:
Can work on the roster.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Three years of experience working in a commercial kitchen is a must.
Proved knowledge and experience of cooking Chinese cuisine.
Must possess a keen eye for detail and a hard-working attitude.
Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.
Must maintain personal cleanliness to ensure high standards of hygiene.
The successful candidate must pass a police check and drug test.
