Chef

New Fantasy Cuisine Limited is located in the heart of Henderson, Auckland. We provide top-class Korean-style BBQ and other Asian food. We now need two Chefs to help us provide top-quality food and service. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week, but you will normally be required to work around 40 hours.
The job involves the following tasks and duties:  
· Preparing and cooking all the dishes offered by the restaurant
· Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation
· Demonstrating cooking techniques and procedures to the kitchen staffs
· Providing training in cooking technique or health regulations, if necessary
· Supervising the performance of kitchen staff
· Improving dishes and developing the chef's menu
· Managing the overall operation of the kitchen
· Ordering supplies and stocks
· Estimating food and labour cost and assisting in cost control
· Ensuring the kitchen's operation complies with hygiene and safety regulations.
To qualify for the job:
· At least three-years of work experience in cooking Asian Cuisine is needed.
· A cookery-related diploma/certificate or a bachelor's degree in any field can replace the required work experience.
· Have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
· You should also have good attention to detail to make sure everything that goes through your hand is thoroughly clean
