Details of the offer

Chef wanted to join busy hospitality team in Auckland. 
You will be required to work with a dynamic, experienced team, who are supportive, friendly and professional.

This is a permanent role
Full time, with minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week
Rostered shifts including weekends
Competitive remuneration $28 - $33 per hour depending on experience

What you will do
Tasks includes but is not limited to:
Ensure the outlet provides quality food, efficiently and with good service.
Ensure all food items are prepared and stored according to the Food Control Plan during and after each shift.
Contribute to menu planning for outlet, functions, or events. Advise on menu alterations for dietary requirements.
Prepare, cook and oversee the delivery of food for special functions or events.
Train and monitor kitchen team members to prepare, cook and serve food maintaining high quality and efficiency.
Ordering food supplies, checking deliveries
Assist with stock takes and inventories.
 
The successful applicant will have:
Minimum 3 years of relevant and verifiable experience
Relevant qualification may substitute the above
A genuine passion towards Mediterranean cuisine
Be passionate about local produce and food trends
Ability to problem solve effectively
Flexibility to meet the demands of the operation
Calm professional temperament and a strong work ethic
Ability to pass a workplace test including drug and alcohol testing
You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
