This position is a Fixed term full-time role during 2nd and 3rd education term.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities: The Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking and serving good quality food for Students, in conjunction with the contractual requirements of the unit.
Must ensure that all tasks associated with food production are performed with due regard for all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.
Develop menus to meet special dietary and cultural needs He korero mou / About you: If you're our ideal candidate, you will: At least have 3 year experience as a Chef; NZQA Level 4 Cookery or equivalent would be an advantage.
Be hard working, reliable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Have excellent understanding of all hygiene, health and food safety practices in a food environment Have excellent communication skills Preferably hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168) Have the ability to work independently and confidently, but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
