Our busy cafe and restaurant is looking for excitable and forward-thinking chefs to join our team. We're not your normal business to work for. Yonder is a beast, a Queenstown driver of culture and interesting cuisine but most importantly, we don't take ourselves too seriously. We take our food very seriously though. Whether it be for a banging weekend brunch service, or an upbeat evening service of sharing plates over cocktails, whilst a 9 piece hip hop brass band plays, quality is always at the forefront of our intention!
Growth, involvement and buy-in is a huge focus for us, but if you just want a rad place to work and enjoy the vibe, then we're the perfect home for that too.

Each Position is full-time on a mutually agreed roster, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, averaging between 35 and 45 hours per week. More hours are available during peak Winter and Summer seasons.
Rates of pay will be between $28 and $31 per hour depending on the level of experience and position offered.

5 x Chef de Partie assists the Head Chef, Sous Chef & Senior Chef de Partie
The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:
Assisting in the food preparation process.
Cooking and preparing high-quality dishes.
Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
To consistently follow the menus, policies and procedures of the Kitchen.
Supervise and manage kitchen operations as required.
Cleaning and all food safety tasks that are required by the Food Act 2014 and as managed in the Food Control Plan.
Following Health and Safety procedures.
Assisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking, and ordering.
Putting away deliveries and stock rotation.
Clear and constant communication to front-of-house staff.
Successful candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Skills and experience
Professional approach.
Previous experience as a chef in a busy, fast-paced cafe setting is preferred.
Ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced, pressured environment whilst maintaining an exceptional level of quality and consistency.
