We are looking for a skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic team and contribute to our success.
Job Description: As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for: Preparing dishes from our menu with a focus on quality and presentation.
Training, developing, and motivating kitchen staff to meet and exceed food preparation standards.
Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
Monitoring stock levels, managing suppliers, and ensuring food quality control.
Leading the kitchen team with professionalism, providing guidance, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Japanese Cuisine Chef in a commercial kitchen.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop kitchen staff.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Creativity in developing new seasonal dishes.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Terms and Conditions: Remuneration: $31.61 per hour.
Hours of Work: Minimum of 40 hours per week, as per a roster provided by the employer.
The roster will be shared at least two days in advance, with flexibility required due to the nature of the hospitality industry.
Location: The main place of work is Kazu Yakitori & Sake Bar, with work also at other locations within Wellington as required.
