Oxley's Bar and Kitchen – Picton, South Island
Located at the heart of the Marlborough Sounds, at the top of South Island, Oxley's Bar & Kitchen is one of many bustling businesses on Picton's stunning waterfront. We are looking for multiple experienced Chef De Partie's who want to become part of a business which fosters a supportive and developmental environment.

Your Duties & Responsibilities:
Run a section and be familiar with the shift plan and ensure allocated section is stocked and prepared to meet the shift's requirements
Communicate stock to be ordered to the Kitchen Shift Manager
Communicate prep jobs that require action. Delegate when necessary. Ensure that prep is completed as required
Ensure each component of a dish is prepared up to standard, according to the recipe, and delivered on time. Prepare and cook appropriate amounts of stock to meet demand but avoid waste
Assume the responsibility in absence of senior chef
Facilitate good communication and support between front and back sections of kitchen
Ensure allocated section is broken down and cleaned at the end of the shift, and that regular deep cleaning is carried out as required
Supervise subordinate staff to ensure that all duties are performed correctly
Compliance with Food Control Plan and Health & Safety regulations
What we are looking for:
Minimum of 3 year work experience and/or Level 4 National Certificate in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) or similar
Good Communication Skills
Positive, friendly and respectful manner
Proactive and able to work unsupervised once trained
Excellent Personal Hygiene
Able To Work Alone or As Part of a Team
Honest And Reliable
Good Time Management Skills
A passion for cooking in a fast-paced team
