Chef De Partie

We're looking for two Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at the Central Fire Station Bistro in Napier.We are a busy restaurant that operates at a high standard.You will work on the Hot sections, assisting in all aspects of the daily operations.Experience in similar style restaurants is preferable but we are willing to train the right person to our standards.We Offer:Good wage rate - hourly not salaryConsistent roster - closed public holidays45 hours per week (minimum of 30 guaranteed), rostered shifts 12 - 10pmRespectful and educational environmentStaff meal and drinksModern produce driven and regularly changing menuTasks:Preparing all vegetable preparations for the entremetier sectionCommunicating with Head Chef/Sous Chef and FOH about any preparation issuesCleaning and organizing the entremetier section for service and after serviceOrdering all products required for the entremetier sectionTaking daily temperature records for our Food Control PlanPreparing a contribution to staff meal dailyApplicants should:Have a minimum of 3 years experience as a chefBe physically fit and ableHave the ability to work evenings and weekendsPossess a hard nosed work ethicHave an eye for detail and a steady handBe able to work calmly during a busy serviceBe punctual and politeHave no problem asking questions or asking for helpGreet each of your colleagues when you arriveOnly applicants with the right to work in NZ will be considered.
