Full-time (rarely more than 40 hours) / 5 days a week (Monday & Tuesday off)
This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities and an exciting challenge. It is a fantastic opportunity to establish yourself in the hospitality scene.
Key Tasks/Duties Delivering high quality creative, wine-friendly dishes in our wine bar. Writing and costing of menus.
Getting the food health and safety plan up and running and keeping all paperwork current.
Be actively involved in the financial side of the business. Maintaining food and wage cost percentages within set limits.
Be available to work long hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Liaising with suppliers.
Requirements: A creative approach and knowledge of a variety of cooking styles & cuisines.
A strong knowledge of food safety and health and safety practices.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Well-developed self-organisational skills.
A good understanding of the financial aspects of running a kitchen.
Knowledge of wine-food matching.
Proven experience in a similar role is required, and strong references will be needed.
