About Portlander
Portlander Bar and Grill has offered an elevated dining experience to its guests since first opening their doors in Wellington in 2012. Situated inside the Rydges Hotel on Featherston street, right in the hub of the CBD and 'Political district' with the beehive just down the road, the restaurant showcases an 80 seat dining area, as well as a private dining area catering to more intimate occasions with bespoke menus, and a busy up-market bar area.

About the role
A rare opportunity has come about for a natural born leader who can bring creativity, passion, and strong leadership to Portlander Bar & Grill. This is a hands-on role which requires an individual to step in and step up to all occasions and to drive the overall guest experience with delicious food.
Skills & experience
Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
The ability to work under pressure in one of Wellington's busiest kitchen operations.
Excellent presentation and exceptional communication skills.
Team player with a hands-on attitude.
Sound knowledge of current food & kitchen trends.
Relevant qualification plus at least two years of relevant work experience.
