We are looking for an experienced Checkout Supervisor to join our wonderful team at New World Waihi.

Pay rate will depend on level of skills and experience.
The Key Responsibilities will be:
Working with the Checkout Manager, 2IC and other Supervisors to lead the Checkout team.
Working with the Checkout Manager and Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Checkout department.
Doing varying tasks which may include checkout operating, managing Self-Checkout lanes and Express lanes, packing, cleaning, and trolleys.
Being in sole charge of the Checkout department and being responsible for opening and closing the Checkout department as required.
You must meet the following skills and experience requirements:
Outgoing and friendly.
Relate well to all people.
High standards of presentation.
Honest, reliable, excellent work ethic.
To be physically fit – you'll be on your feet all day and moving between Checkouts.
Customer service driven – you'll spend a lot of time helping our customers.
Communicate clearly.
Able to work well under pressure.
Great organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks as required.
Experience in retail preferably in a position with responsibility or a supervisory role.
