CHECKOUT SUPERVISOR
Reporting to the Checkout Manager you will be responsible for supporting them in the day-to-day operation of the Front End, ensuring all customers experience the highest possible standards of service which align with our Brand Promise of "SWEET AS." You will be able to work in a big team helping each other to solve problems and reach the desired result.
You will be responsible for:
Providing excellent customer service to our customers
Supervising a large team
Closing off the checkout department in the evening
Ensuring checkout operators are following the right process at the checkout.
Monitoring the security of the checkout area
Keeping on top of customer flow and ensuring appropriate numbers of checkouts are open at all times.
Handling customer enquiries and complaints appropriately
Ensuring the Checkout area is always kept clean and tidy.
Following the Sales of Liquor Policy and guidelines in the store
Following the Health and Safety, Food Safety policies and compliance procedures in the store
Coach and support new team members.
The right candidate should possess the following attributes:
Excellent Customer Service skills
Reliable, punctual and have excellent work ethics.
Always have a smile and can cope with the expectations of the role.
Have good communications skills and able to think on your feet.
Good team player and lead by example
Have good leadership skills and supervisory experience within the supermarket industry is an advantage.
