Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThe Charge Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of the Emergency Psychiatric Service, Community Programmes, Consultation Psychiatry Liaison Service, Combined Response Team, Psychiatric Records and Director of Area Mental Health Service (DAMHS). This includes clinical leadership and co-ordination, operational functions, quality and financial performance, human resource management, quality and risk management, and quality, clinical pathway development and other service delivery improvements within the ward/unit/service.Working in partnership with clinical and other staff, the Charge Nurse Manager will contribute to strategic and operational management in a way that is consistent with the organisation's vision and values.About the Team/Service/ LocationEmergency Psychiatric Service provides around the clock urgent assessments and interventions for consumers of all ages. Community Programmes is a mental health service based at Dunedin Hospital providing recovery-focused group programmes for adults with a wide range of moderate to severe mental health issues, living within the community.Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
