The Company My client is a privately held NZ business with two major shareholders that have grown the business very quickly in the past 15 years.
With a continued growth mindset, the business is looking to the next phase and is now ready for an experienced CFO to join the team to continue the growth trajectory.
The owners are very much operating in the business on an everyday basis alongside some family members so it truly has a family feel but knows its time to continue bringing the professional disciplines required to allow the growth ahead, therefore this role.
The Role The role of CFO will work closely with the Managing Director, Ops Director and Board as well as the SLT to support the functions of Finance, legal, IT and business systems.
Your role will be to ensure strong financial rigor sits behind all future decisions being considered, being at the forefront of strategic decision making, driving finance transformation, operational excellence and long term profitable growth.
Your key responsibilities will include: Provide robust commercial & financial insights to the Exec and BoardPlay a leading role in business strategy development and planningDevelop long term financial strategies, funding, capital allocation plansLead financial planning, budgeting & forecastingCost ManagementPartner business partners to improve business practices and enhance performanceOversee risk management strategies and ensure compliance with legal and internal requirementsManage the audit, internal controls and IT related risksEvaluate and implement tax strategiesAnalyse day to day financial activities, including cashflow, project margins and resource consumptionOversee IT infrastructure and Asset ManagementMaintain company insurancesManage the capex decision making processLead and develop the finance teamOther ad hoc duties as required.Your profile: To be considered for this role we are looking for an individual who has prior experience as a CFO who can bring those established skills to this business, knowing what good looks like and can bring that experience to add value quickly.
