This is a full-time permanent position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week operating within the Climate Change investment domain. Your tasks may include but are not limited to overseeing or performing the following:Operational• General ledger - all AR/AP day-to-day financial transactions• Bank reconciliations, all invoice and expense claims• Payroll processing• Balance Sheet management and credit control• Month-end and Year-end reporting• Statutory returns, Tax, GST, and PAYE• Financial guidance for CEO, COO and broader team as requiredStrategic• Investment product structuring across jurisdictions• Oversight of all investment deal transactions and contribution to due diligence• Investment portfolio management for fiscal and impact objectives• Advising on optimal choice of financial instruments• Internal member of the independently chaired Investment Committee• Identification of climate financial product opportunity from global networks• Assist with raising capital to expand and grow the business• Go-to-market roles to promote products to institutional investorsTypical tasks• Coordinating the development, implementation and monitoring of all accounting systems• Determining, implementing, monitoring, reviewing budgetary and accounting strategies, policies and plans• Providing financial information and interpreting the implications for performance and for funding needs• Directing or preparing financial reports to summarise and forecast financial position such as P&L, balance sheets and analyses of future income and earnings• Assessing capital finance proposals and the financial status of operational projects• Advising on investment strategies, sources of funds and the distribution of earnings• Delivering long range profit forecasts, budgeting and financial reporting• Ensuring compliance with financial legislation and standards as necessary• Providing all necessary contributions as member of the firm's Investment Committee• Portfolio management of assets as the firm grows (fiscal and impact)• Active business development role facing targeted institutional investors• Varied communications as representative of leadership teamAbout you:• Masters degree in relevant field plus bachelors of commerce degree (or equivalent)• Minimum 20 years commercial experience with significant responsibilities• CFO skill set and responsibilities spanning 8 years or more• Willing to mentor and coach others, and to embrace new learning opportunities• High attention to detail, excellent time management, ability to multitask and prioritise• Strategic orientation and evidence of ability to move into execution• Strong investment experience in the climate change domain• Tier 1 Investment banking experience• Private capital markets transactional and market experience including SE Asia• Global institutional investor relationship networks in climate change solutions• Multi-lingual (English as mother tongue)• Motivations; Authentic, committed and passionate about delivering climate change solutions• Willing to relocate if necessary to work in our Auckland CBD office with some limited WFH• Willing to travel internationally on a semi-regular basis as necessaryWe offer a competitive salary package, ESOP and a positive and respectful work culture.
