Position Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Olathe Campus
Position Summary / Career Interest: Responsibilities: Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Note: These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Assesses patients before anesthesia including analyzing medical history and planning anesthesia delivery. Administers various types of anesthesia including inhalational, intravenous, regional anesthetics based on anesthetic plan. Performs any necessary invasive procedures including insertion of catheters. Observes and records all patient functions being continuously monitored and evaluates need for ancillary drugs to maintain normal functioning. Consults with staff anesthesiologist as necessary regarding patient condition. Documents for patient record all relevant assessment, care, and monitoring data. Ensures availability of required supplies and equipment before anesthetic procedure. Educates patients, families and staff on anesthesia aspects related to conditions and diseases. Reassures patient before procedure. Accompanies to recovery area to ensure condition satisfactory. Successful completion of nursing anesthesia program, certification, and eligibility for licensure in the State of Kansas are required.
