This new position reporting to the DVC (R&I) incorporates the function of CEO of Auckland UniServices Ltd (AUL). UniServices deserves its powerful reputation as a leader in research commercialisation and engagement. In 2023 it launched eight new companies and licensed 27 technologies, overseeing the $41M University Inventors Fund in addition to a range of other commercial and educational activity.As CEO you will report to the Board of AUL, leading the team to develop a strategy to drive strategic change and foster a culture of research innovation and entrepreneurship, ensuring the University remains an international leader in supporting innovation and commercialisation from public research.As Pro Vice-Chancellor (Innovation and Enterprise) you will act on behalf of the DVC (R&I) to actively seek strategic opportunities to advance knowledge translation and impact of research with industry, investors, public bodies and charities seeking to tap the expertise, inventions, technologies and intellectual property available from the University of Auckland, Waipapa Taumata Rau.
