Incentives offered for bonuses on sales.Poderi Crisci operates on a 5-day weekly roster basis, open for lunch daily and dinner on Friday and Saturday nights only, weekend work required. So, a great opportunity also to regain free evenings, as well as enjoying the fantastic lifestyle Waiheke Island has to offer.Poderi Crisci, is an award-winning Vineyards Restaurant on the beautiful Waiheke island, specializing in fine European Inspired wines and traditional and modern Italian cuisine.We are now looking for expressions of interest for one permanent position as Cellar Door & Bar Manager.The role requires focus on service and sales, customer care and communication, promotion of the wines and the business and ability to be flexible in the role and willing and able to assist in the restaurant and with large function and weddings.The candidate will need to have a minimum 1 years' similar experience and strong leadership skills. No formal qualification is required just the right positive attitude, enthusiasm and experience.All candidates must have:Abundant wine knowledgeItalian food and wines match knowledgeHave excellent comprehension of the English languageTeam playerAbility to give instructionsPositive and friendly personalityGood understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, Restaurant Management software and POS).General Duties and Responsibilities:Understand and promote the Poderi Crisci wine range, its background and its story.Organise and supervise the full operation of Poderi Crisci Bar and Cellar Door to provide exceptional experience for our clientele.Attending to all customers' queries and requests courteously and efficiently to establishment standards.Follow establishment Policies.Conducting tastings at the bench or seated at table.Point of sale and till operationsUpselling and cross-selling other areas of the businessConduct tours and private tastings as requiredWork towards personal sales targets and group sales targetsProvide table service for wine in the restaurant as required.To ensure the highest standards of hygiene both personally and in respect of all equipment and utensils.To ensure the highest standards of personal presentation and appearance in line of our corporate clientele. Consequently, we have a policy of unnoticeable jewelry and tattoos. Staff should always wear the prescribed uniform for a professional look.To supervise the serve of food and beverages in accordance with required standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and accuracy in distributing portions, and tidiness of service.Compliance with all Restaurant Rules and Health and Hygiene regulations. Knowledge of the Sales of Liquor Act with reference to minors, etc.Assisting the Restaurant Manager in front of house meetings.Managing different vintage and our prestigious wine cellar stock.Managing and keeping up to date with wine orders from other venues and coordinating delivery is done on time and looking after internet sales of wines, vouchers etc.In charge of carrying out weekly and monthly stock take and sales reports with reconciliation.Any other duties or responsibilities as directed by the Owner / Restaurant Manager.This position will suit someone who is lining on or willing to relocate to Waiheke Island.Applications are being taken now and short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview and overview of the property at Poderi Crisci.
