In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and optimize product ranges. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, marketing and our branch network to ensure our product offerings meet market demands and align with our business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement category strategies that align with overall business goals.Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.Manage the product lifecycle from selection to discontinuation, ensuring optimal inventory levels.Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional activities.Monitor category performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to achieve targets.Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop effective promotional campaigns and product launches.Conduct regular category reviews and present findings and recommendations to senior management.Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in category management, product management, or a related field, preferably in the electrical or distribution industry.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Proven track record of driving product growth and managing successful ranging strategies.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.What We Offer:Comprehensive benefits package, including subsidized health plans, holiday home schemes and birthday leave.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.A supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity.Employee discounts on products and services.If you are a motivated and strategic thinker with a passion for category management, we want to hear from you!Please note – applicants MUST HAVE citizenship, residency, or valid working rights in New Zealand.
