Seeking a skilled Youth Worker for our OTIS youth team in Waikanae. Specialising in complex needs & mental health support, caring for 1-2 young individuals in a nurturing home.
Responsibilities may include:
Working closely with clinical service staff in designing personalised support plans
Working with people's strengths, holding hope, and encouraging them to recognise their ability to overcome adversity.
Planning a suite of activities and programmes individually designed to help them meet goals
Casual positions are available to fill in for permanent Support Workers during leave. With non-regular hours, you'll have the opportunity to work across our full range of services throughout the week, including all Wellington locations.
About You | Mou
You will have:
A National Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Support Work (Level 4) or National Certificate in Youth Work, or be willing to work towards one.
A full driver's licence.
A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
Knowledge and understanding of Te Ao Maori, including Te Reo Maori and Tikanga, or be open to learning about it.
