Our casual roles cover leave for permanent Support Workers, providing you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of our services (community mobile, respite, residential and recovery). Join us today and expand your skillset!
This varied role could see you working on a variety of different tasks:
When working in a respite service, you would support wellbeing by providing a listening ear, supporting on-site activities such as mindfulness, medication, maintaining a large home, cooking, cleaning, and hosting visiting clinical teams.
In our residential services, you would be working alongside whai ora to achieve their goals which can include moving towards independence with appointments, shopping, cleaning, medication, etc.
In our mobile community service, you would undertake home-based support that includes supporting people with household tasks, attending appointments, grocery shopping, taking medication, physical activity, and community engagement.
In our enhanced mobile community team, you would support whai ora in their own homes with individualised packages of support which may include such things as independence with daily living activities, including support with taking medication, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, gardening, household cleaning, and exercise.
The hours of work are irregular and offered when available. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
