We're seeking a casual Sales Manager who is not only reliable but also enthusiastic about contributing to Mercy Hospice's success. Our casual managers play an essential role in our wider team. You will help cover leave across our 8 stores, ensuring continuity in customer service, pricing and community connection while allowing you flexibility in your schedule. This provides a bit of variety to the role - different volunteers to work with and new customers to engage at each store. Nga Awhina moku / Benefits you will enjoy: Working with a wide range of unique and interesting inventory itemsGaining expertise in product knowledge and pricing evaluation Building connection with customers and the community. Being part of the dedicated, experienced and fun retail team. Working with our wonderful Mercy Hospice retail volunteers.Nga kawenga matua o te mahi / Key responsibilities of the role:Support Store Management: Opening and closing stores when other staff are on leave; volunteer management, donation sorting and pricing and customer service.Shop Merchandising: Contribute to designing and implementing attractive and effective merchandise displays that enhance the shopping experience and maximize sales.Customer Engagement: Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues in a friendly and professional manner.Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team, including volunteers and staff, to ensure smooth operations and a positive working environment.Operational Assistance: Help manage cash handling, store organisation, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.Nga pukenga e hiahiatia / Skills you'll bring to the role:Previous experience in retail or similar, with a demonstrated flair for merchandising and creating inviting store environments.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and volunteers.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Proficiency with point-of-sale systems.A passion for Mercy Hospice's mission and a desire to make a positive impact.To apply for this role, please submit yourCV and a Cover lettervia our advert on Seek.For a copy of the position description for this role, please email Hannah Roughton:******  Your story could be part of ours Mercy Hospice is an industry leader and has been delivering specialist palliative care for over 40 years.
