He aha te mahi | What the job involves Being the first point of contact for our customers, you will provide exceptional customer service whether you are assisting the Customer Service or Library team. Working within the Customer Service team, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service whilst expanding your knowledge of Council activities and district. You will perform a variety of tasks from taking payments for rates or fines, processing applications for services, Dog Registrations, Rates Rebate applications. Working within our Library team, you will assist our customers with general enquiries, memberships, issues and returns whilst performing library administrative tasks. You will also help the team run specialised programmes or services ensuring excellent service is provided to all participants and library customers. Your communication skills will remain calm and professional, even when the pressure is on. You'll ideally have previous customer service and/or Library experience, but this is not necessary so long as you're a quick learner and can navigate Microsoft Office programs with ease.
