Our lovely client is a boutique employment law practice offering an excellent opportunity to develop a legal administrator.This role needs someone with a high level of aptitude in writing and communication, and an ability to quickly pick up firm processes and legal admin procedures.You'll need to be able to juggle multiple priorities, use your initiative to help keep the practice running smoothly, and provide top quality client care and professionalism. You'll be IT savvy, mature and capable, able to self-manage, and enjoy the collegial environment of a smaller practice.You'll be primarily assisting with monthly billing, general admin, and client service (including taking phone calls and handling initial enquiries) on a casual basis (approx ten hours a fortnight), with more working hours (including one full work day) required near the end of the month. Over time, as the practice grows, there's potential for the position to become permanent and regular working hours to increase along with the scope of the role. Ideally, the successful candidate is looking to ease into a part-time role and pick up more hours over time as/when the business demands.Taking pride in the service provided is essential, along with having excellent communication skills, thriving on teamwork, and having a well-developed ability to relate to people. Due to the nature of the business, you'll need to be comfortable dealing with clients who may be in distress or under pressure, and will bring a calm and empathetic approach to this. Though there is a degree of flexibility around working hours and location, there will be times you're needed on site at the CBD based office, and certain days of the month you're required to work to manage invoicing for the practice.In return, you'll work in a firm with a supportive environment and a well-established culture of valuing staff and flexibility.
