This critical frontline position in the Ministry of Social Development is one in which every day will be busy and demanding. It will also be highly rewarding as your work will have a meaningful impact on people's lives. Our services cover income, housing and employment so if you want a job where you can positively impact the lives of others, a Case Manager role is a challenge you will enjoy.
As part of one of our teams, you will work alongside clients to provide support to help improve their lives and enable them to move into employment and other development opportunities. We are looking for additional staff for our Wellington Service Centres.
Ensure clients receive the support and assistance they need across the options we provide.Help clients connect to services, support, and available opportunities including secure safe housing.Assist clients in transitioning into training for work readiness or directly into work.Support clients in maintaining or gaining independence and maximising their potential.About you: Exceptional communication skills – articulate and welcoming approach, Manaakitanga to establish rapport and understand how best to support clients.Personal integrity – sound judgement and the ability to act with honesty and fairness.Initiative – ability to think on your feet, make sound decisions, and look for innovative solutions.Relationship management skills – outgoing and positive, able to interact with clients from all backgrounds and other agencies.Computer skills – comfortable navigating computer systems.Fast learner – ability to learn new and complex information quickly.Problem solver – curious and detail-oriented to find answers.Outcome focused – enjoys achievement and helps others set and achieve their goals.Ability to work well under pressure – organised and thrives in a busy environment.Empathy and a non-judgmental approach to serving others are essential attributes.What we offer: A positive work environment, with support to achieve excellent outcomes for clients.
