'Kotahi ano te kaupapa, ko te oranga o te iwi' - 'There is only one purpose to our work: the wellness and wellbeing of our people.Nga kawenga | About the roleChristchurch Women's Prison (CWP) is currently looking for a Case Manager to join their dedicated and supportive team!As a Case Manager at CWP, you will provide specialist, end-to-end management of women serving sentences as they work through programmes aimed at addressing rehabilitation and reintegration needs. The role includes all facets of case management from initial assessment, needs identification, case planning, and partnering with external agencies and the whanau of those in our care to support rehabilitation.Case Managers lead rehabilitation and reintegration by using a person-centric approach. By focusing on the wellbeing of the person, you will help reduce the chances of them returning to past behaviour and help them to make better choices for the future.At CWP, we've been working hard to better serve the unique needs of women. Our Women's Strategy, Wahine: E Rere Ana Ki te Pae Hou, sets the stage for a gender-specific, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach. Additionally, CWP plays a pivotal role in our Maori pathways program, Te Mana Wahine, providing a comprehensive kaupapa Maori experience. Join us as we embark on a journey that positively impacts the women on site and our dedicated staff.This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday - Friday.Central to your success as a Case Manager is the ability to exercise sound professional judgement ensuring that a person's needs are appropriately identified, and the most appropriate treatment and programmes are matched to meet these needs.We are looking for people who:Have experience in case management and/or rehabilitation and reintegration practices.Are comfortable engaging with pregnant women, mothers with babies, and their families.Strong written skills including the ability to prepare written reports.Effective relationship building and communication skills.An ability to motivate and support people to make positive changes.Can operate effectively in a Maori cultural setting and have an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (or a willingness to learn).Can operate with high levels of integrity.Have a full, clean New Zealand driver licence.A background or qualification in rehabilitative services, psychology, social work, or another related field is desirable, but not essential.The starting salary for this position starts at $68,456 - $73,447 per annum.
