The role will support people who experience drug and alcohol dependence and reduce the harms associated with use.You will be working with an experienced multi-disciplinary team committed to providing high quality care to consumers and their family and whanau. This is an opportunity to further develop competencies in addiction treatment in a supportive and positive learning environment. You will facilitate a range of clinical interventions aimed at promoting the individual's well-being, aiding them in their recovery and enhancing their capacity to participate in community life.This position is based in Marlborough and the hours for this role is Monday to Friday between 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM, 40 hours per week.Ko wai he kaitono totika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)You will be a New Zealand registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or DAPAANZ with a current APC and preferably with some addiction experience but not essential as can offer training.You will have a sense of humour, compassion, excellent communications skills, a non-judgmental attitude and a focus on developing interventions to reduce alcohol and drug related harms for both the individual and the community. It will also be important that you are experienced in delivering assessments and case management.
