Carpenters

Mai Staff is looking for 10 Carpenters to join their team in Auckland!
Successful candidates must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours a week and, if required, work during weekends. They must be willing to undergo occasional drug tests while employed. Having a valid driver's license is an advantage. They must also have NZ residency, citizenship, or a valid NZ Work Visa.
Responsibilities:

Studying plans, drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
Taking accurate measurements and calculations to determine the size and materials needed for a project.
Uses tools for cutting, shaping and smoothing lumber and other materials according to measurements.
Installing or erecting window frames, doors, staircases, frames and trusses using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
Installing hardwood floors, subfloors, sidings, cabinets, dry walls, roofing, insulation, exterior wall cladding and bracing systems.
May do formwork, concrete laying, and steel tying.
General carpentry work.

Person Specification

NZQA Level 4 qualification or least three years of relevant experience.
Be flexible with work hours, including work during weekends.
Be willing to undergo occasional drug tests while employed.
Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools and measurement tools.
Knowledge of plastering as advantage.

This is a full-time permanent role, and the pay rate is between $29.66 to $32.00 per hour, at a minimum of 30 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week.  Normal workdays are between Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
