Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and skilled Carpenters & Joiners/Hammerhands to join our team in Wellington. This role involves a range of carpentry and joinery tasks, from residential projects to commercial builds. Successful candidates will work on various projects, including framing, finishing, joinery installations, and general construction tasks.
Key Responsibilities: Execute carpentry and joinery work to high standards, ensuring quality finishes Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to achieve project goals Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Use hand and power tools effectively and safely Maintain clean, organized, and safe working conditions Complete projects on time and within budget Requirements: Proven experience as a Carpenter or Joiner (minimum of 3 years preferred) Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in carpentry/joinery Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and construction principles Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Knowledge of health and safety practices in the workplace Reliable transport and a valid driver's license Own tools are preferred, but not essential What We Offer: Competitive hourly rates and weekly pay Consistent work opportunities in the Wellington region Supportive team environment and excellent work culture Opportunities for career growth and development How to
