J&C International Enterprise Limited based in Golflands, Auckland, is specialized in residential construction and renovation projects. We are looking for two carpenters to join our awesome team. You will be expected to work at different sites throughout the Auckland region, a minimum of 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to work on Saturday as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $29.66-$32 based on the candidates' experience and skills. Job Description for This Position Study blueprints and shape or cut materials to specified measurements using appropriate tools. Shape or cut the materials to the specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw, or any other equipment needed. Follow the builder's instructions to measure, cut, or shape materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials. Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes as required. Make doors, window frames, and staircases and fitted furniture as required. Fit structures like roof timbers, staircases, partition walls, and door frames. Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue or any other material considered appropriate. Build temporary wooden supports to hold setting concrete in place. Install skirting boards, doors, cupboards, and shelving. Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools. Select and order materials and tools. Ensure all work meets New Zealand building codes and maintain a safe, clean environment. Key Requirements for Successful Applicants At least 3 years of relevant experience as a carpenter is required Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage. Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting. A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress.
