Caregiver - Night Shift

Details of the offer

You can help bring our villages to life! At Summerset, from the moment we start developing a village, to when our residents call it home, it's the passion and dedication of our people that brings our villages to life. We are one team united by being part of something bigger – to bring the best of life to our residents.
The way we work is guided by our values - One Team, Strong Enough to Care, and Strive to Be the Best. We know it takes a collective effort to bring a village to life and help it thrive, so Summerset is a place where everyone's uniqueness and diversity can shine.
When you're part of the Summerset team, you belong to a place where your work has real impact, who you are is fully embraced, and where your career flourishes.
Job Description At Summerset, we are here to bring the best of life to our residents. To do this, we know we need to take care of our people to form a team who are strong enough to care, operate as one team, and strive to do their best. This is a busy and diverse role, assisting residents with their day-to-day activities such as showering, delivering meals, and much more. Therefore, you will need to be resilient, kind, and patient, while a good level of fitness will prove useful for delivering the best in personal care.
This position offers full-time, ongoing employment with night shifts from Saturday to Tuesday, totaling 32 hours per week.
Qualifications Now, we are looking for exceptional Caregivers to join our 'Whanganui' village. To be a successful candidate you will:
Have experience in aged care and/or have a qualification relevant to the role.
Have genuine compassion for all kinds of people from all walks of life.
Be a team player and be able to manage your time well in order to complete all your tasks.
Be available to work on a rostered and rotating shift pattern (including mornings, afternoons, and weekends).
Additional Information To recognise the important work that you do for our residents, we offer many great benefits such as:
An enthusiastic and supportive team that is fun to be part of.
$25.39-$29.95 per hour based on your experience and/or qualifications.
Weekend rates of an additional 40 percent of the hourly rate.
Health cover (if applicable), social sporting teams, meal allowances, clothing allocation, and discounts at a range of suppliers plus much more.
We offer career progression and support for those looking to develop their skills further in the aged care industry.
If you, or someone you know, are strong enough to care, then we would love to hear from you. Due to NZ Immigration requirements, we are obliged to consider candidates that already have the right to work in NZ for this role first. Due to this, we may not be able to support a visa application for this role. This role may close early due to an increased number of applications - apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment! Please note, only suitable applicants will be contacted.
Summerset is one of New Zealand's largest retirement village developers, owners, and operators building vibrant communities for our residents to live in.
We are a fast-moving and fast-growing nationwide business, and we need your passion and energy to help us keep up the momentum! We are proud of our dynamic work environment and an equally diverse workforce, and we aim to give you the best of life, so you can bring the best of life to our residents.
We have a raft of employee benefits, such as:
Day-to-day health insurance.
Your birthday day off.
Annual company share allocation.
Sick leave from day 1.
Long service leave.
