Caregiver

We have 2 positions available within our facilities in the Manawatu-Whanganui region. These positions involve providing high quality personal care to our residents, in accordance with QA standards, shift guidelines, and in an attitude of co-operation and helpfulness.
Requirements A minimum of a relevant Level 4 qualification or at least three years of relevant experience
Be available to work rostered shifts, which are 0645-1500; 1445-2300; 2245-0700, including on the weekends
Be sensitive to cultural, religious and spiritual needs of others, including an understanding and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
The ability and willingness to comply with policies and procedures including health and safety, privacy and confidentiality, and code of conduct
Be comfortable in both a team environment and in working autonomously, showing flexibility and initiative
Have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, in English
Have a caring and considerate attitude
Excellent organisation and prioritising skills
Willingness to follow hygiene principles and protocols, particularly in respect of infection control
Be reliable and pay attention to detail
Be friendly, motivated and show empathy and kindness
Have a neat and tidy appearance, with excellent level of fitness and you can pass a police vet check
Hours and remuneration You will be guaranteed at least 32 hours of work each week. The hourly rate is between $26.16 and $28.25 depending on your level of experience. You will also benefit from ongoing training and development opportunities.
