About the roleWe're looking for a new Carbon Manager to support Foodstuffs' carbon reduction goals. This role reports to the Head of Environmental Social Governance. We believe we have a responsibility to be a positive force for good in New Zealand and our promises are to:Support strong communitiesMeaningful and safe work for our peopleProtecting our environmentIn this role you'll be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of Foodstuffs' carbon reduction strategy and support the development of carbon management plans to help Foodstuffs understand the opportunities and initiatives that will assist us in meeting our carbon reduction targets across the Co-Ops. You'll work with key stakeholders to support the delivery of Foodstuffs' carbon reduction strategy and carbon management plans. You'll also be tracking all the appropriate metrics relating to carbon emissions to meet current and future reporting requirements, including regular measurement of our carbon inventory as well as the annual audit processes across the Co-Ops.About youYou'll be a natural collaborator with strong facilitation skills. You'll enjoy managing various stakeholders who have differing demands and needs. You'll be someone who embraces challenges and has the tenacity to push through when obstacles come your way. Ideally, you'll have an in-depth understanding of, and interest in, the reduction of carbon emissions and carbon management with demonstrated experience of managing carbon within an organisation. You'll also be comfortable working with data to influence long-term investments, projects and best practices.
