We currently have a vacancy for a Capital Works Operator to carry out repairs and capital works on water pipes lines, water main upgrades, waste pipes, wastewater sewers, storm drains or any other services or structures in our Queenstown contract.
We have depots in Queenstown, Wanaka and Cromwell all with exciting opportunities available for the right candidates.
What's on offer On the job training and career development  A great team-working environment Competitive hourly rate What you'll be responsible for Installation of water / wastewater subdivisional development connections Provide assistance to the Queenstown Operations and Maintenance team as required  Delivery of water, wastewater asset renewals, stormwater plant and network repairs and upgrades.
Contribute to the management of the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems while applying the procedures in all aspects of work.

Comply with the requirements of Veolia New Zealand Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Policy Statements, including participation at local toolbox and health and safety meetings.
Adhere to all written and verbal instructions, procedures and information issued by Veolia New Zealand relating to both health and safety and environmental issues and with all relevant clauses of the Integrated Business Management System Manual.
Comply with the requirements of the company business management system and the Quality Policy for drinking water, wastewater treatment and disposal to contribute to the company commitment to provide safe, high quality drinking water and wastewater services that consistently meets or exceeds the requirements of the Contracts.
Report any problems with the business management system, particularly in relation to the management of occupational health and safety, environment and drinking water.
Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers.
What you'll need to be successful Class 1 Licence essential although Class 2 Licence will be an advantage Wheels, Tracks and Roller endorsements (however this can be arranged for the right candidate) Experience in 3 waters networks operations and maintenance / capital works delivery Good communication and organisational skills  Basic to Intermediate computer skills  If you are a reliable team player with excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills, we would like to hear from you.
